Josette Luvmour is a renowned educator, writer, developmental consultant, and mentor specializing in human development. She focuses on Natural Learning Relationships of children, the evolution of consciousness, and adult transformation learning, emphasizing the interconnected growth of adults and children. Her work nurtures well- being in family relationships, enhancing self-knowledge, and relationship-based education.
Josette currently teaches at Antioch University’s Individualized Master of Arts (IMA) program in the School of Education and at the Transformative Learning Foundation (https://www.transformativedynamics.org/). With over 55 years of experience in spiritual practices such as yoga, mindfulness, and meditation, she integrates humor, insights and wisdom into her teachings, inspiring students to deepen their self- knowledge and embrace holistic growth. She studied with esteemed spiritual and psychological teachers, participated in transformative retreats, and completed a seven- year retreat in Hawaii focusing on the Eightfold Path lifestyle, with hours of meditation, and study. This deep immersion informs her authentic approach and integrity in her courses.
As an accomplished author, Josette has published six eBooks and six print books, including the Mom’s Choice Award-winning Grow Together: Parenting as a Path to Well-Being, Wisdom, and Joy. Alongside her husband, Ba Luvmour, she co-developed the Natural Learning Relationships (NLR) model, a whole-child understanding of child- development that has been widely applied in seminars, schools and in experiential learning programs since the 1980s. Together, they have integrated this consciousness- based approach with fieldwork to reintroduce meaningful Rites of Passage in modern contexts.
Josette creates welcoming and transformative learning environments that foster personal growth, family bonds and development, and holistic well-being. She shares her insights through teaching, consulting, writing, and mentoring students. Based in Portland, Oregon, she and Ba continue to inspire learners on the spiritual journey and human development.

As an educator, writer, developmental consultant, and public speaker, Ba specializes in the fields of human development, the Natural Learning Relationships of children, the evolution of consciousness through life, transformation learning, nurturing well-being in family relationships, relationship-based and holistic education, and teacher professional development. As a non-profit executive for 45 years, Ba directed three holistic schools and a large family learn center. He has taught in several universities, and currently devotes his time to Transformative Learning Foundation and the Certificate Program in Transformative Learning.
Ba delights in sharing his expertise with adults, professionals, and family groups seeking to deepen self-awareness, enliven optimal well-being, and develop access to innate wisdom. He is the author of six eBooks and six print books, including Optimal Parenting and Beyond Metaphor: Dialogue from the Realm of Self-knowledge as well as articles that focus on relationships with children.

He has studied with esteemed teachers in the fields of spiritual philosophy, education, and psychology.
For seven years he lived in retreat in Hawaii focused on long hours of mediation and study. His core values are simple: relationship, authenticity, and integrity.
Together with his wife Josette co-created and developed Natural Learning Relationships, a whole-child understanding of child development. They have studied and explored consciousness since they met in 1979 and have been using Natural Learning Relationships with parents, children, whole families, educators; in experiential learning programs; in seminars, and with schools since the 1980s. Of special note, they have combined their consciousness-based approach to human development with extensive study and fieldwork to bring meaningful Rites of Passage to our times.
Together they produced and hosted the popular podcast series, Meetings with Remarkable Educators. He lives with his grandchildren and dear son-in-law in Portland, Oregon.
